Ray Lewis is amazeI cry for basically two reasons: stress, and sports.
Seriously. I can watch The Notebook on repeat and not shed a tear. I can cut a sackful of onions without my eyes watering.
I cannot, however, hear Tom Rinaldi’s voice without welling up, and I sobbed - sobbed - as I jumped up and down and screamed til I was hoarse when Cliff Tucker hit a buzzer beater to beat Georgia Tech in 2010. (Super embarrassing to admit, but I had no control over it)
I sometimes prefer not going to big games because it would be awkward to cry when my team wins, surrounded by thousands of fellow fans - and I usually cry when my team wins, rather than when it loses.
So I got a little misty last night after the game, knowing that somehow, someway, this team found a way to win and get Ray Lewis back on the field at least one more weekend.
We’re not done yet.
